Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered through starlinefy. The services include professional training in video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of reliable high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. It covers both one-time course enrolments and any bundled access to materials or live sessions. The policy is intended for consumers and businesses located in the United Kingdom and is drafted in accordance with UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices on the website are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included in the advertised price unless otherwise stated. Any additional charges such as optional certification fees, extended access periods, or printed materials will be clearly shown before payment is authorised. No hidden fees are applied after the point of purchase. Currency conversion charges may apply if your card issuer processes the transaction in a currency other than GBP; these charges are outside the control of starlinefy.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers where pre-arranged, and approved third-party payment platforms. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed using secure, encrypted connections compliant with PCI DSS standards. starlinefy does not store full card details. Authorisation confirms that sufficient funds are available and reserves the amount until the transaction is completed or cancelled.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation summarises the course details, access start date, price paid, and applicable terms. Until this confirmation is issued, no contract exists and any payment authorisation may be released. Access to digital course content is granted immediately upon confirmation unless you have expressly agreed to waive your cancellation rights for digital content.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under UK law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date the contract is formed during which you may cancel without giving a reason. If you request access to digital content or live sessions within this period you may lose the right to cancel once access begins. For services that have not yet started, cancellation within the 14-day period entitles you to a full refund. Cancellations must be notified in writing via the contact form on the Contacts page or by email to [email protected].

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period where access has not commenced. Once a course has started or digital materials have been downloaded or streamed, refunds are not provided except where required by law. Non-refundable items include completed live sessions, issued certificates, and any promotional bundles where the discount was conditional on full participation. Refunds are not available for change of mind after the cooling-off period or for failure to complete the course.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund you must submit a written request including your full name, order number, email address used for purchase, and a clear statement of the reason for cancellation. Requests should be sent using the contact form on the Contacts page or emailed to [email protected]. You will receive an acknowledgement within two working days. Incomplete requests may delay processing until all required information is supplied.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Each refund request is reviewed against the eligibility criteria within five working days. You will be notified by email of the decision. If approved, the refund will proceed according to the method and timeline below. If rejected, the email will explain the specific reason and any options for appeal or alternative resolution. starlinefy maintains records of all decisions for regulatory compliance.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days depending on your card issuer. Bank transfer refunds are processed within seven working days. Where a third-party platform was used, the refund timeline follows that provider’s schedule. starlinefy will notify you once the refund has been initiated.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital course content is supplied immediately upon purchase. By proceeding you expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once access begins. Subscriptions, if offered, renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may exclude refunds once the promotional period has begun or the offer has been redeemed.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

If a payment fails you will be notified and given the opportunity to retry or use an alternative method. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and any overpayment refunded. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may lead to immediate account suspension without refund.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law, including the right to receive services with reasonable care and skill, the right to a refund for faulty digital content, and the right to cancel within the cooling-off period where applicable. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
